I should explain a tiny bit about who I am in order to give my comments more weight. Hopefully all that puts my original post in perspective. It tackles all terrains in a day out so I'd be curious to see. I run various Interco's for all my other rigs, but these MTR/K's are gonna get a try on my 39'd stretched LJ. They rock in ANYTHING except ice (sipe them). Now.all that being said, if you can handle the trials of DD'ing this tire for all the weekend fun it allows? Go for it! Buy these tires. 6" LA'd heavy WJ, so different weight and ride than a TJ or JK. I ride them at 32 PSi just to maintain regularity. its time to retire the procomp 35x12.5x15 all. It seems all i can find are jeep forums where people are just voting for what they have purchased for their rigs. Run 4psi back and 6 front on a 3500 lb rig and flexes quite well. Now i have done quite a bit of searching and have only found a few reviews and even less comparisons between these two tires. Goodyear Fierce Attitude MT: Goodyear Wrangler MT/R: Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar MT/R MTR Info: Hankook Dynapro MT: Hankook Dynamic MT RT01: Hercules Terra Trac MT: Hercules Trail Digger MT: Kelly-Springfield Safari DTR. This conversation was only a short time ago while I was questioning my 33x12.5's. On the other hand, we have the GoodYear mt/r w/ kevlar. It was on one of these long distance travels, that one of my 35x12.5x15 suffered a sidewall failure (tyre had only done 2000 ks)at 100 kph and let me tell. Static weights maintain what was on the machine at a balanced point." Seat, drive to warmth, return, balance, weight, install. The best way to maintain regular "pseudo balance" is to maintain a high PSi on the street." Their unique wraparound tread pattern enhances sidewall. Smaller is worst and bigger is too soft a sidewall on extended pavement drives. The innovative use of Kevlar brings superb sidewall cut and puncture resistance when driving off-road. But by far, the uneven spread of weight is it's worst enemy as a comfy DD tire." Because the Kevlar induces the cold faster and hardens the Kevlar to a point beyond the tire, it takes a longer drive to return the warmth and Kevlar pliability. The difference in weight distribution, size, height, temperatures, time stopped, traction, turning, time with consistently warm tires, etc etc etc.a million combinations of factors make every vehicle different. "This tire is not "balanceable" in the way any other tire is due to the weight & temperature spread. I havent been off road with them yet so i cant speak for how they work in that dept. This first quotation addresses your question about my first post. I'll try to quote as best as memory serves: The following is a discussion I had with Goodyear. I currently do business with a tire shop manager/forum member that allows me to learn from him & contact his Goodyear guy. Along with other forums and my own 4x4 business, I get to know & trust and do business with many of these members.
GOODYEAR MTR 35X12 5X15 SERIES
In 1968 Interco introduced the first 78 series light truck tires, which began the evolution in light truck tires we see today. I belong to a local Jeep club with over 6000 members. Interco Tire Corporation is a Louisiana based company that has evolved through three generations into a leader in the development of high performance tires used on four wheel drive light trucks and all terrain vehicles. They look like a solid tire, but like I said.I haven't had the best luck with Goodyear.Click to expand.I should explain a tiny bit about who I am in order to give my comments more weight. Then again, i'm definitely a bit biased as well so take it how you will. Serious, commercial grade traction for outstanding capability and durability.

A long-lasting tire backed by an outstanding 60,000-mile treadwear warranty. I think the MTZs are the best all around tire that money can buy. Beefy traction shoulders grip to tough terrain for enhanced off-road control. Most importantly, they handle whatever you throw at them with ease whether it be rain, mud, rocks, snow, sand, etc. Not to mention, they also make minimal noise for a mud tire. They are holding up well, have had even wear, and I love the aggressive look to them as well. I actually plan on going with them again next time I size up. Since putting them on I have absolutely zero complaints. I DD my LJ and have the MTZs mounted on some black 15x8 MT Classic IIIs. I ended up getting 33x12.5x15 Baja MTZs as my upgrade, and i'm extremely glad I did.
GOODYEAR MTR 35X12 5X15 DRIVERS
I started off with some Goodyear tires that I couldn't stand. Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tire offers drivers the versatility for long stretches of highway, challenging terrain and tough off-road trails including snow.
